All these photos except the tunnel one were taken when members of my family and I went on walks. Three of the five were taking at my grandmother's house. She has around 100 acres with a lot of interesting scenery. Every so often as my cousins and I spend a few hours going out for walks and taking pictures to remember the places we spent a good deal of our childhood playing. When my brother was going to school he lived right near Lake Michigan. Whenever I would go down to visit him when the weather was nice we would go down to the beach and enjoy the sun and the nice cool water. The photograph of the tunnel is in South Dakota, taken on a family vacation. What you can't see in the photo is that the tunnel is framing Mount Rushmore.

  1. Heather. You have great eye for capturing scenery. Those always tend to be some of my favorite shots. You're shot of Lake Michigan looks like it could be in the Caribbean. The color of the sky and the water really pop. Your Tools picture is also really cool. I'm curious to know if you shot it in color first or in black and white.

  2. thank you so much! I didn't edit any of the pictures. For the tools picture i had a setting on my camera that is black and white that I used.

  3. Wow I love that blend with the red fabric. I wonder if you could blend the fabric texture and still leave the green color of the grass. Is that possible? Anyways I really like both of you blends. Also your photography looks amazing as well. I really like your study in color. I almost did red, its very classy. I love the picture of the girl on the grass. Did you add a mask or lower the saturation? Very cool!
