Bubbles: 5/7/11; 9AM; 1/400; f4 Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi
Ashley was just sitting in the grass playing with her bubbles she got at a birthday party the night before. She was so proud of herself with all the bubbles she could make. I went along the side of the house and took a few. I really like how this one turned out because you could see the bubbles in the air as well as the ones coming out of the bubble straw.
Labrums: 5/7/11; 3PM; 1/80; f5.6; Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi
They wanted a family shot by the waterfall. To be able to get the waterfall and all the kids in we put them up on the rock. I brought out the vibrance and the blacks to have the their shirts and the sunglasses pop. With pulling out the blacks it darkened the rocks and showed the water more.
Leeann: 5/22/11; 1PM; 1/125; f5.6; Nikon D3000
I loved the door and how it was worn on the bottom. I asked Leeann if she would go in it and pose. She did a bunch of different poses but this one was the best and i felt you could see the door the most. I brought out the blacks so the door would stand out more and be darker.
Megan: 5/22/11; 1PM; 1/125; f 5.6; Nikon D3000
All I did to this picture was add a vignette. Megan was just sitting down thinking while waiting for me to need her again for pictures and I saw the background behind her and loved the wall. I had her not move and took a couple. I like how shes not really smiling. You can tell she's thinking and I feel that brings out her personality.
Signing: 5/22/11: 10PM; 1/60; f 4.5; Nikon D3000
My roommate fractured her foot so she was having another roommate sign in. I got down on the floor and quick took a couple shots. In Camera Raw I brought out the blacks and the contrast to darken it. I felt the coloring matched both of their style and didn't want to change it much more.
Waterfall: 5/7/11; 3PM; 1/80; f5.6; Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi
Trevor was walking around with his hands in his pockets because he felt like such a man after hiking so far all by himself. He had walked over to the waterfall so I had him turn around and quick snapped the shot. I put some tint on it to bring out the blue in the water. His teeth were shadowed by his lips quite a bit so I whitened them and added vibrance to bring out the red in his shorts.
Cheeto: 5/7/11; 3PM; 1/250; f3.5; Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi
I'm glad this picture turned out. Trevor was sitting on my lap and eating Cheetos and wouldn't let me take a picture of him. I put the camera in front of his face hoping that I would get it all in. As I did that he turned so I moved the camera and took only one shot and this is what I got. I bumped up the vibrance so the Cheetos would stand out more. But I didn't want to mess with much else. I wanted to keep the dirt on his face because we just hiked up a mountain and he's four and he was able to do it all himself and that reminds me.
Trevor: 5/7/11; 10AM; 1/400; f5; Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi
I was taking my flora and fauna pictures and Trevor was sitting on the rocks and said take a picture of me. I didn't have time to change any settings because he moves so quick so I'm glad it turned out. I bumped up the vibrance and lowered the clarity a little bit. Other than that I didn't edit this picture at all
